The Girl Who Found Her Light

When Mia's parents split up, something changes. Not in a dramatic, crying-all-the-time way — just a quiet, muffled kind of grey that she doesn't have words for yet. The Girl Who Found Her Light follows Mia through six honest, warm chapters as she finds a name for what she's feeling, picks up a yellow crayon, has a genuinely rubbish day, and slowly — messily, imperfectly — finds her way back to herself. Written for children aged 7–10, this story doesn't pretend that hard things aren't hard. It just shows what's possible on the other side of them.

    Beyond the Story

We know it’s not always (sometimes never) a good time. Late nights, dinner, homework, weekend sports. Very little private time to dig into what’s really bothering your child.

That’s where these books come in. Each one comes with a short description so you know, going in, what it touches on. Some of it might hit close to home (that’s the point). These stories help kids understand hard things, and learn they’re not alone in feeling them.

Like the camelthorn tree, which finds a few drops of water even in dry seasons - what doesn’t break us makes our roots grow deeper. Kids don’t always have the words yet. These books give them a quiet, private way to start finding them, at their own pace, without the pressure of a direct question from someone they love.
